WPA Federal Arts Project in Pennsylvania

The Works Progress Administration (WPA) was established in 1935 as part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal Programs to combat the unemployment of the Great Depression.

The Federal Art Project in Pennsylvania was a New Deal Program that employed artists to create public art, including murals, posters and sculptures.

The resulting posters brought about by WPA Artists ushered in the Modern Graphic Poster in America and Art for the Common Good.

Pennsylvania WPA Posters is a growing collection of the influential and authentic posters and prints created by Pennsylvanian Artists.
